Colton lies on the Staffordshire Way
which passes from the North
via Abbots Bromley through the hamlet of Stockwell Heath and
alongside Colton Village Hall. Thence South on to the towpath of
the Trent and Mersey Canal to Colwich and Cannock Chase .
Numerous footpaths circle Colton and
round walks
from 1 to 8 miles can be undertaken.
The wearing of strong and waterproof shoes is recommended..
