From the War Memorial walk up towards the
Martlin, cross over the stile and follow the public footpath signs up
Martlin Hill. Where the hedge bears left carry straight on, over the
stile, turning left and then go right keeping the hedge to your left.Go
through the double gate and look for the stile in the hedge to the left.
Skirt the wood, cross over the stile and walk towards the footbridge ahead.
Follow the way-markers and cross in front of the farm buildings and, using
the stiles, the route will emerge at the junction of Hollow Lane and
Blithbury Road. Take care crossing and make for the stile by Hurstwood
Farm.
Aim for the Oak tree in the hedge opposite, cross two stiles and head
towards the metal gate. Cross the stile and turn left and then right,
keeping the hedge on your left until you reach the dirt track. Cross
over Long Mets Lane and the stile by the metal gate to the right.
keeping to the edge of the field turn left and then right and at the top of
the field make towards the way-marked stile in the corner.
Turn left down the track which can be very slippery in wet weather
and at the public highway turn left and follow the road until you reach a
sharp left-hand bend. Cross over the stile by the stone gate-post on
your right. The route is across the field towards the tree and stile
in the corner.
