The Altar and East Window

The Church of St. Mary, the Virgin, Colton, stands at the entrance to the Village as you turn off the B5013 and cross the Moreton Brook over the narrow hump-backed bridge.  It was largely re-built in 1852 but a church site in Colton is recorded in Norman times.
