The Church of St. Mary, the Virgin, Colton, stands at the entrance to the Village as you turn off the B5013 and cross the Moreton Brook over the narrow hump-backed bridge. It was largely re-built in 1852 but a church site in Colton is recorded in Norman times. |

Two new bells were added in 2001 to give us a ring of 6.
The
first quarter peals to be rung in Colton were rung on Saturday 1st June 2002
in Celebration for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
